Lanyards Make a Nice Gift

Posted on 31st January 2012 in Lifestyle, Marketing

Lanyards make a nice gift, and they are very affordable. You can browse around for a special one to give to a friend, or you can buy them by the dozens to give away for promotional gifts. If you do that, you can also have them imprinted with your name, a company or product name, logo, or a message. They are good for giving away at special events, grand openings, or for employee gifts.

Because lanyards make a nice gift, they are also a good item to invest in to make a profit by selling them at a store on online from your website or an auction website. Create a clever saying and have that printed on the lanyard, list them, and you are in business. There are lots of different styles with varied attachments, so you can offer several for sale. A Lanyard to the Rescue

Posted on 31st January 2012 in Lifestyle, Marketing

I had left an important report in the car that morning, and rushed downstairs to get it. I made it to the parking lot just as raindrops started falling. Quickly scooping up the folder, I rushed back to the back door I had just come out of. I fumbled in my pocket trying to locate my key card. It wasn’t there. I was always forgetting it upstairs.

I ran around the building as the rain started to come down harder. I shoved the folder in my shirt, trying to keep it dry. I reached the lobby and yanked on the door. It wouldn’t budge. I peered through the glass trying to see the receptionist. She wasn’t there. It was after hours and it was unlikely anyone would use the main entrance.

Sighing, I reached for my cell phone before remembering it was sitting upstairs on my desk, right next to the precious key card. Here I was supposed to meet with my boss and discuss my ideas of improving productivity and I was wasting time trying to get back in the building. I decided to see if anyone would show up that could let me in. Click here to read more.. »

Teenager miraculously survives fall from three-story building

Posted on 30th September 2011 in Lifestyle

Sydney, Australia – Local authorities are investigating the fall of a teenager from a three-story building this past weekend.
The victim, whose name has not yet been released, had attempted to climb the walls of his best friend’s home. He wanted to reach his buddy’s bedroom window. It was part of a dare made earlier that night at a party, where the under-aged boys had been drinking. When the teenager, who had minor rock climbing experience, almost reached the top of the wall his right foot slipped. He lost his grip and tumbled down, but miraculously survived.
The main reason why the teenager did not fall to his death was because the silicone wristbands he had been wearing snagged on a hook which was located next to a window. The hook was installed to hang decorations at Christmas time. The wristbands were unable to hold the boy’s weight and did break; however, they did slow down his initial fall, preventing a fatal outcome. Click here to read more.. »

Flag Lapel Pin

Posted on 30th September 2011 in Lifestyle

One of the first memories I have of my grandfather is the American flag lapel pin he wore on his suit. My grandfather worked in insurance, and he was impeccably dressed Monday through Friday for every week of his career. His suit was always spotless and creased in just the right places; his shirt was perfectly starched with its collar folded exactly in half; his shoes were shined and free of any smears. And every day, in exactly the same place on his right lapel, sat his American flag lapel pin. Click here to read more.. »
